Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations at the front of house. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help set the tone for a memorable guest experience. As a vital part of our hospitality team, you will manage reservations, greet guests, handle transactions, and support overall guest relations to foster a positive environment. Duties

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort
  • Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS system
  • Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
  • Process payments accurately at the cashier station, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a welcoming environment
  • Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall satisfaction
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery during busy hours

Qualifications

  • Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience operating POS system
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality standards, or hotel guest services is advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a lively environment
  • Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
