Job Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Courtyard by Marriott Frisco

Job Overview:
As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring a high level of service and guest satisfaction. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage (Bistro operations). The AGM will support revenue optimization, team development, and adherence to Courtyard by Marriott brand standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in planning, organizing, and directing all hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage, with a focus on The Bistro.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by actively monitoring and responding to guest feedback, reviews, and service recovery opportunities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals, including reviewing financial performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee and maintain brand standards compliance, ensuring all operational areas meet Marriott and company expectations.
  • Support Bistro operations by ensuring quality service, food and beverage standards, and an exceptional guest dining experience.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members to deliver outstanding service and maximize performance.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, P&L statements, and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy and revenue growth.
  • Foster a positive and accountable work environment by leading by example, motivating employees, and recognizing team achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
  • or
  • Proven experience in a hotel leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
  • Solid financial acumen with the ability to analyze reports and identify trends
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and general computer skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
