Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, FigelFrederick, P.L.L.C. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Officer to oversee and enhance our firm's risk management, compliance, and governance practices. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, managing client and vendor agreements, and safeguarding the integrity of our firm's records and data. The GRC Officer will play a critical role in protecting the firm from legal, operational, and reputational risks while supporting the development of best-in-class compliance frameworks that enable the firm to serve its clients effectively. This position requires a high level of discretion for confidential work and information. The candidate must possess the ability to appropriately handle critical information and sensitive situations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Data GovernanceCompliance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for data storage, handling, and retention.
  • Oversee the implementation of best practices in data governance to safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
Client AgreementGuideline Management
  • Manage and maintain all client agreements and outside counsel guidelines.
  • Ensure that firm practices align with client contractual obligations and industry standards.
Policy ReviewRisk Reduction
  • Review, develop, and implement organizational policies and procedures geared toward mitigating operational, legal, and compliance risks.
  • Conduct periodic compliance assessments and recommend corrective actions.
VendorThird-Party Risk Management
  • Oversee vendor relationships to ensure compliance with security, data handling, and risk requirements.
  • Manage third-party risk assessment processes and monitor ongoing compliance.
Records Program Oversight
  • Provide high-level oversight of the firm's records management program.
  • Ensure records are securely maintained, properly classified, and disposed of in accordance with legal, regulatory, and firm requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have bachelor's degree and 15+ years' experience in the field of governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, inter-personal and multi-tasking skills.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts and work as an effective team member, meet tight deadlines with the flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously.
