Responsibilities

This individual will learn the skills needed to acquire and become a successful Buyer/Planner in the Gaming/Lottery Technology industry. We seek a self-motivated individual who can juggle multiple tasks, orders, and projects while still meeting group deadlines in a hands-on support role.

Manage assigned materials and inventory through MRP/SOP/GOM to meet Department goals and objectives. The task to manage inventory efficiently through A/B/C categories, proper replenishment strategies, and daily exception activity.

Perform daily and weekly interactions with the following departments:

• Electrical Eng. • Mechanical Eng. • Accounts Payable • Cost Accounting • Operations • SQA • Supplier Management

Convert purchase requests to purchase orders to multiple locations. Executes all of the tasks comprising routine buying processes. Completes routine tasks as assigned and is learning problem-solving techniques.

Accountable for planning and executing the purchase of a specific set of products or services. Identifies purchasing requirements based on received requisitions. Selects approved suppliers based upon price and availability. Orders parts and arranges for delivery. Places follow-up phone calls to confirm and/or modify delivery of purchased materials. Arranges for prompt return of damaged or faulty supplies.

Fosters mutually respectful relationships with suppliers that are beneficial both to IGT and its suppliers. Maintains purchasing databases to ensure data integrity.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge of and/or intermediate level experience in Planning and/or Procurement. Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated. Able to perform primary tasks with little or no supervision. Must be able to pass a security investigation.

Preferred: Has knowledge of IGTs business processes. Has intermediate level proficiency with some relevant ERP tools. Has intermediate knowledge of/skills in the content areas of:

• Direct Procurement • Microsoft Office suite
