We are currently looking for a results-oriented Director of Outside Sales to join our growing team and take charge of managing our remote Regional Sales Team.

Position Overview:
The Director of Outside Sales is a key leadership role responsible for managing, mentoring, and coaching a remote Regional Sales Team of four direct reports. This individual will drive the team’s performance, develop and execute sales strategies, and foster strong relationships with key customers. The Director will also take charge of customer contract negotiations, setting and ensuring sales goals are met, and working closely with the production and harvesting teams to ensure the sales team is always up to date on product quality and supply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and coach a remote Regional Sales Team of four direct reports, ensuring team members are equipped to exceed their sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business goals and revenue growth.
  • Take the lead in customer contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both the company and customers.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key customers, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Set clear and achievable sales goals for the team, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure these goals are met consistently.
  • Collaborate closely with the production and harvesting teams to obtain real-time updates on product quality and supply, ensuring that the sales team is aligned and able to meet customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, growth, and new business development.
  • Maintain and strengthen knowledge of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Promote a results-driven, collaborative, and proactive team culture, even within a remote environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in outside sales leadership, preferably in the agriculture or food production industries.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing remote teams, with a focus on driving sales performance and achieving goals.
  • Strong negotiation and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining communication and collaboration with internal teams.
  • High-level organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions to drive performance.
  • Strong understanding of the agriculture industry and market trends is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel as needed to visit key customers and support sales initiatives.
