About the position

Specializes in identifying, developing, and closing strategic data, AI, and digital transformation opportunities with new or existing enterprise customers that deliver incremental profitable growth and exceptional customer outcomes. Acts as a strategic hunter responsible for originating and advancing opportunities across data platforms, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics solutions, including partnerships with leading technology providers such as Palantir, Uniphore, and hyperscale cloud providers. Owns and develops executive-level customer relationships, collaborating with customers, partners, and internal subject matter experts to identify business problems that can be solved through modern data architectures, AI-enabled workflows, and digital automation. Positions Rackspace as a trusted advisory partner capable of taking AI and data initiatives from concept to production. Leverages deep industry and technology expertise to deliver consultative solution selling aligned with Rackspace’s multicloud, data, and AI strategy. Responsible for the full sales lifecycle—from originating new strategic opportunities and building executive relationships to structuring and closing complex transformation programs. Develops targeted hunting strategies focused on net-new enterprise logos and expansion within high-value accounts where data modernization, AI adoption, and automation initiatives can drive measurable business outcomes such as cost reduction, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and improved customer experiences. Engages regularly with C-suite executives, data leaders, and business stakeholders to translate emerging technologies such as generative AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation into practical business solutions. Leads pursuit strategies for large-scale transformation initiatives and collaborates cross-functionally with technical architects, alliance partners, and delivery teams to build compelling business cases and solution frameworks. Senior-level roles are responsible for originating and closing complex, multi-million-dollar strategic deals, expanding Rackspace’s footprint within priority industries, and driving sustained revenue growth through data and AI-led transformation initiatives. Recognized as an external thought leader within the fields of enterprise data, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, with broad expertise in emerging technologies and modern platform ecosystems. Proactively identifies new market opportunities and solves complex customer challenges through innovative technology and business solutions. Contributes to the development of organizational strategy related to data, AI, and next-generation cloud platforms. Drives thought leadership with customers and partners around emerging technologies such as generative AI, machine learning platforms, intelligent automation, and modern data architectures. Progression to this level is typically based on demonstrated ability to originate and close large strategic deals and drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultative sales engagements focused on enterprise data platforms, AI solutions, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Identify, originate, and close net-new strategic opportunities related to AI adoption, data modernization, and intelligent automation.
  • Develop and execute targeted hunting strategies for enterprise organizations undergoing digital transformation, including initiatives involving data platforms, generative AI, and operational analytics.
  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners—including hyperscale cloud providers and technology platforms such as Palantir and Uniphore—to develop differentiated solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Engage executive stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and line-of-business leaders to translate technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop strategic account plans that identify opportunities for data platform modernization, AI deployment, and operational optimization.
  • Partner with technical architects and subject matter experts to develop solution architectures and compelling business cases for transformation initiatives.
  • Lead complex deal pursuits, negotiations, and proposal development for large-scale technology transformation programs.
  • Drive pipeline creation through proactive market engagement, partner collaboration, and industry networking.
  • Maintain high awareness of market trends in artificial intelligence, generative AI, data platforms, analytics, and enterprise automation.
  • Track pipeline performance, forecasting, and deal progression through Salesforce and internal sales processes.

Requirements
