We are currently expanding our team and are seeking a Remote Microsoft SQL Developer to join our software development team to support existing .NET business web applications that utilize Microsoft SQL Server. The applications utilize large complex databases with synonyms, functions, triggers, message queues, and utilize stored procedures to interface with the databases. This position is fully remote. Duties • May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. • Create, maintain, and optimize stored procedures, views, triggers, indexes, and message queues to support the implementation of new application requirements. • Refactoring of existing database relationships and objects used by the current applications to optimize database and application performance. • Work independently and as part of a team in an agile scrum-like development cycle. Required Education • BS or BA degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, business, or information systems or related field. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION • A) An AS or AA degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, business, or information systems and three (3) years of overall experience plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree; or B) Eight (8) years of overall experience plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. Required Experience • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and GIT. • Minimum of three (3) years of SQL server database developer experience with focus on application and query performance. Desired Additional Experience • Highly competent in SQL database performance tuning, creation of right indexing strategy to meet data growth needs and performance monitoring and query optimization using SQL Profiler. • Experience with SQL Server Always-On Availability Groups. • Experience providing code review and tuning feedback to other members of the development team. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
