Position Overview

This is a part-time position as Warehouse Stock Coordinator for Happy Tuna HQ. You will work directly within the business to provide hands-on support where it is needed, helping solve everyday operational challenges, including resource management, logistics and new business channel development.

Your primary focus is keeping Happy Tuna's multi-location operation supplied, organized, and running smoothly. The role splits time between onsite inventory work at our Hudson Yards HQ (355 West 36th Street) and other locations, and remote coordination with location teams and partner restaurants. The right person is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and comfortable moving between physical organizing and digital coordination throughout the day. You will be working closely with our Resource Manager day-to-day.

Core ResponsibilitiesOnsite — Inventory & Resource Organizing

  • Assist Resource Manager with packing and organizing inventory across each location, including walk-in coolers, dry storage, packaging supplies, and uniforms (chef coats and hats).
  • Help Resource Manager pack and stage inventory for next-day operations at each location.
  • Confirm daily inventory needs by checking stock levels against par and communicating with location teams.
  • Assist Resource Manager with determining next-day inventory needs with each location through the WhatsApp group chats and help coordinate delivery and supply-sharing needs with our family of partner restaurants (Momoya, Kappo Sono and One Bryant Park restaurants)
  • Assist Resource Manager in keeping location managers and HQ aligned on what is ordered, packed, and in transit.

What We're Looking For

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Clear, reliable communicator across in-person, phone, and group chat.
  • Comfortable with physical work: lifting, packing, organizing storage areas, and moving between locations.
  • Able to juggle multiple locations and priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Familiarity with restaurant inventory, food storage standards, or hospitality operations is a plus.
  • Ability to travel between NYC locations as needed.

Schedule & Work Style

This is a part-time, in-person position. Hours are flexible, with the opportunity to take on additional support responsibilities and projects based on willingness and availability.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
