TikTok & Instagram Video Content Creator (Part-Time, Remote/Hybrid)

Other Jobs To Apply

No other job posts for this day.

Let's make cleaning content people actually want to watch.

Tidy Tools makes commercial-grade dust mops, brooms, and replacement heads. Yes, mops. We know it's not the sexiest category, and that's exactly the opportunity. Almost nobody is doing this well on TikTok and Instagram, and we want you to be the one who changes that.

You'll work directly with our brand manager to build our short-form video presence from the ground up. No big corporate approval chain, no 14-page brand guidelines. You'll have real creative input and your work will go live fast.

What you'll do

  • Create 3-5 short-form videos per week for TikTok and Instagram Reels
  • Come up with concepts, hooks, and trends that fit our brand, not just copy what's already out there
  • Shoot and edit your own content (phone shooting is totally fine)
  • Spot trends early and tell us which ones are worth jumping on
  • Test products, figure out the most satisfying, funny, or surprising ways to show them off, and make mops look good
  • Work with our brand manager on content planning, feedback, and performance
  • Come by the warehouse when it makes sense to shoot product content (optional/hybrid)

You might be our person if

  • You live on TikTok and Instagram and understand why some videos pop and others flop
  • You've made video content before (personal account, side project, a previous brand, whatever. We care more about your work than your résumé)
  • You're comfortable on camera, or great behind it (or both)
  • You can edit quickly in CapCut, Premiere, or whatever you use
  • You're a self-starter who gets excited by a blank canvas instead of freaking out about it
  • You have a sense of humor and aren't afraid to be a little weird
  • You can take feedback, iterate fast, and keep things moving

Bonus points

  • Experience with product, e-commerce, home, or "satisfying cleaning" content
  • Understanding of what makes UGC-style content convert
  • Ideas for what we should be doing that we haven't thought of

What you get

  • A brand-new creative playground with real freedom
  • Direct access to the brand manager and leadership
  • Flexible schedule and remote-friendly work
  • Room to grow as the content side of the business grows
  • A portfolio piece you can point to: "I built this brand's social presence"

How to apply
Send us your résumé and a link to your favorite TikTok or Reel you've made (or tell us what you'd do to make a mop go viral). We want to see how you think.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule

Application Question(s):

  • Send us a sample video at info@shoptidytools.com. You can use any object as a placeholder for a mop.
  • Send us an example of a cleaning video on Tiktok that you like?
  • Why do you want to work for Tidy Tools?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
