Street Interview / Man-on-the-Street Creator for CPG Brand — U.S. Based — Ongoing - Contract to Hire

Other Jobs To Apply

Job Description

Drizz is looking for U.S.-based street interview creators to produce recurring short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

This is not a traditional UGC role.

We are specifically looking for people who already have experience approaching strangers in public, conducting natural man-on-the-street / vox pop interviews, asking good follow-up questions, and capturing entertaining vertical video.

Prior street interview experience is required.

Dallas / DFW or anywhere in Texas is strongly preferred, but we are open to excellent creators anywhere in the United States.

About Drizz

Drizz makes Unflavored Energy Drops that let people add caffeine to a drink they already enjoy.

Our goal is to create social content that feels native, spontaneous, entertaining, and culturally relevant rather than polished corporate advertising.

Think:

- street interviews

- public reactions

- caffeine habits

- drink preferences

- campus content

- gym / lifestyle content

- real people trying or reacting to the product

- recurring social formats that can become recognizable Drizz “shows”

What You’ll Be Doing

For the initial paid test, you’ll go to a high-foot-traffic location and conduct approximately 5–10 usable street interviews with real adults.

Possible interview prompts include:

- “What’s your caffeine order?”

- “How much do you spend on energy drinks every week?”

- “Coffee, energy drink, or pre-workout?”

- “What gets you through the 2 PM slump?”

- “What drink would you turn into an energy drink if you could?”

- “Would you put caffeine in this?”

- “Guess how many energy drinks this tiny bottle can make.”

Some interviews may involve introducing Drizz after the initial question and capturing the person’s genuine reaction.

We will provide the final creative brief and approved talking points before filming.

Initial Paid Test

The test shoot should take approximately:

1.5–2 hours

We are looking for approximately:

5–10 genuinely usable interviews

Ideally, strong creators will deliver closer to 8–10 usable interactions from the session.

Each raw conversation may run roughly 30–90 seconds, but it should give our editor enough material to create strong 10–45 second social clips.

We care much more about the quality of the interaction than the exact number of clips.

Six great interviews are better than fifteen boring ones.

Deliverables

Please provide:

- Original vertical 9:16 footage

- Clean, understandable audio

- Full raw interview footage

- Highest available resolution

- Separate original files

- No music added

- No filters

- No burned-in captions unless requested

- A few useful location / product B-roll clips when relevant

We have our own editing workflow.

You do not need to create polished finished edits unless specifically requested.

The main thing we are paying you for is:

finding interesting people, approaching them confidently, conducting a good interview, and capturing strong raw footage.

Requirements

You must:

- Be currently based in the United States

- Speak native or fully native-level American English

- Have prior street interview / man-on-the-street / vox pop experience

- Be comfortable approaching complete strangers

- Be able to improvise and ask natural follow-up questions

- Understand TikTok / Reels pacing

- Film vertically in 9:16

- Have a recent smartphone or comparable camera

- Have a reliable microphone / clean-audio setup

- Be reliable with deadlines

- Be able to upload original raw footage

- Be comfortable working with recurring creative briefs

- Interview adults 18+ only

Location Preference

Strong preference for:

Dallas / DFW

Also highly interested in creators in:

- Austin

- Fort Worth

- Houston

- San Antonio

- College Station

- Denton

- other College markets

However, exceptional creators anywhere in the U.S. should apply.

We are ultimately building a network of creators across multiple American cities.

Compensation

This begins with a paid test shoot.

Expected test budget:

$150–$300

Final rate depends on:

- demonstrated street-interview experience

- quality of prior work

- location

- expected number of usable interviews

- production quality

We are not looking for the cheapest creator.

We are looking for people who are genuinely good at this.

Creators who perform well may move into recurring weekly or biweekly paid shoots.

Long-term rates can increase for people who consistently produce excellent, usable footage.

Long-Term Opportunity

This is not intended to be a one-off project.

Our goal is to identify a small group of strong creators who can become recurring Drizz field creators.

Top performers may receive:

- weekly or biweekly shoots

- higher recurring rates

- product kits

- event assignments

- larger brand activations

- travel opportunities

- expanded responsibilities within the Drizz content network

We plan to test multiple creators and give more work to the people who consistently deliver the best footage.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
