The director is responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of our SDLC and for the optimal performance of the development. The director will work to continuously improve the development team and right-size the development workforce.<br /> <br /> The director must be very knowledgeable in media workflows for News, and fully conversant in current AI technology.<br /> <br /> Oversees the agile development teams. Leads and manages 5 or more development team managers. Provides guidance, advice, mentoring, coaching and career development to the team managers and assists them in motivating their teams around business objectives.<br /> <br /> Works with the product development leadership team (direct reports of the Product Development VP) to continuously improve the product development processes and ensure the product development team is aligned with customer expectations and capable of providing value to the business in the most efficient way possible. Ensures that the product development processes remain efficient and sustainable for the long term.<br /> <br /> Provides architectural guidance across all media applications and AI-based solutions.<br /> <br /> Delivers business value by ensuring the agile development teams are constantly aligned with the organization's ITSM goals and principles.<br /> <br /> Builds and maintains strong collaborative relationships with customers, users and other stakeholders to ensure the agile development teams, are aligned with all aspects of the delivery of business value. Creates and maintains relationships with internal partners, vendors and the broader industry to ensure the product development organization remains on the forefront of innovation and technological advancement.<br /> <br /> Qualifications & Experience…<br /> • 12+ years managing multiple development teams<br /> • 10 years experience building and sustaining a mid to large size development organization.<br /> • 5+ years experience in sustaining engineering role for existing/legacy enterprise solutions<br /> • 7+ years experience managing Agile software development teams.<br /> • Current and deep knowledge of key agentic coding technologies.<br /> <br /> Education<br /> • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.<br /> • Agile development certification (Scrum-master, product owner, or other)<br /> <br /> Championing Inclusion at WBD<br /> Warner Bros.
