Partnering closely with the Client Engagement Partner – Financial Services, you shape solution strategy, define architecture standards, and ensure delivery teams build secure, resilient, and compliant systems.</p> <p>You engage directly with CIOs, CTOs, risk officers, and business leaders to assess legacy environments and design modern architectures that support regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, and superior customer experiences.</p> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end solution architecture across cloud transformation, core system modernization, digital banking platforms, workflow automation, AI, and data initiatives.</li> <li>Design secure architectures aligned with Canadian regulatory frameworks (OSFI guidelines, PIPEDA, FINTRAC, PCI-DSS) and demonstrate familiarity with U.S. standards such as SOX, GLBA, and FFIEC where applicable.</li> <li>Define integration strategies across core banking systems, policy administration platforms, payment systems, CRM platforms, and third-party fintech solutions.</li> <li>Guide engineering teams on architecture decisions, secure coding practices, DevSecOps implementation, and cloud-native patterns.</li> <li>Contribute to RFP responses, architecture diagrams, and executive-level presentations that translate technical solutions into measurable business outcomes.</li> </ul> <p>Your impact is reflected in secure deployments, regulatory-aligned systems, reusable architecture frameworks, and the technical credibility of AOT’s Financial Services practice.</p> <h4><strong>Who You Are</strong></h4> <p>You are a pragmatic architect who understands that financial services demand both innovation and disciplined risk management. You’ve recently delivered solutions in regulated financial environments and can confidently navigate conversations around compliance, scalability, and resilience.</p> <p>You bring:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, with significant recent experience delivering solutions within financial services (banking, insurance, fintech, or capital markets).</li> <li>Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory and risk frameworks (OSFI, PIPEDA, FINTRAC, PCI-DSS) and familiarity with U.S. regulatory environments (SOX, GLBA, FFIEC) as an asset.</li> <li>Experience architecting cloud-based and hybrid solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including microservices, APIs, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Proven expertise in secure architecture patterns, identity and access management, encryption strategies, and data governance in regulated environments.</li> <li>Strong facilitation and communication skills, with experience leading architecture workshops and engaging executive stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p>Experience with core banking platforms, insurance policy systems, payments infrastructure, workflow automation, or AI-driven risk and analytics solutions is highly valued.</p> <h4><strong>We Offer</strong></h4> <ul> <li>$140K – $160K CAD base salary + up to 10% variable pay, based on performance</li> <li>Remote-first flexibility, with travel support for in-person engagements</li> <li>Continuous learning and leadership development opportunities</li> <li>Flexible schedules and generous paid time off</li> <li>Competitive health, dental, and wellness benefits from Day 1</li> <li>Employer-sponsored deferred profit-sharing plan</li> <li>A collaborative, mission-driven culture where your work matters</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Apply Now</strong></h4> <p>If you are motivated by solving complex financial services challenges through thoughtful, secure architecture and want your work to directly influence innovation in regulated markets, we encourage you to apply.
