This role requires a hands-on engineer who can validate complex data workflows end-to-end while also building scalable automation to improve coverage and efficiency.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You will collaborate closely with ML, Data, and Engineering teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our healthcare platform, built using Databricks, DBT, PostgreSQL. <br><br>Ellipsis Health is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we are open to remote candidates within the United States.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform both manual (functional) testing and automation for data pipelines, APIs, and AI-driven workflows</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Understand business logic using SQL and scripting (e.g., Python) to design comprehensive test scenarios</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design, develop, and execute functional test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build and maintain automation frameworks for ETL, API, and workflow testing to improve coverage and efficiency</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Validate data transformations, mappings, and data loads across all stages of the ETL lifecycle</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems, staging layers, and target data stores</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Conduct manual validation for critical workflows and edge cases where automation is not sufficient</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Identify, document, and track defects;
