The Role:

Your Mission:

  • This role combines hands on expertise in Juniper Mist switching and wireless solutions with deep experience in Cisco switching technologies to drive performance, reliability, and scalability across the enterprise.
  • Experience documenting network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures to support operational excellence.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a highly available, secure, and high performing enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing management of network environments leveraging Juniper Mist switching and wireless solutions.
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco switching environments to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Proactively monitor network performance, quickly identifying and resolving issues to maximize uptime and user experience.
  • Partner with cross functional IT teams to support network integrations, upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Apply network security best practices while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.
  • Perform regular network assessments, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to improve performance and resiliency.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and occasional training to IT teams and end users.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the network environment.

Who You Are & What You’ll Bring

  • Five years’ proven experience with Juniper Mist & Cisco switching and wireless platforms.
  • Previous Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco switching technologies and protocols.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.

Proven Track Record:

  • Demonstrated experience configuring, supporting, and maintaining enterprise level network infrastructure in high availability, mission critical environments
  • Proven ability to partner with cross functional teams to support network deployments, system upgrades, issue resolution, and ongoing performance optimization

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and CCNA/CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional) are preferred. JNCIS (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist) is required.

Technical Savvy: Solid understanding of network security best practices, including segmentation, access controls, and secure network configurations

Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex network concepts and issues clearly to both technical and non technical audiences, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely decision making.

Travel Requirements: Up to 5 %

Physical Readiness: Capability for sedentary work, including sitting for long periods and occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force.
