From robust data pipelines to scalable backend systems and API integrations, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams and lead the creation of solutions that power smarter financial systems.</p> <h2><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using TypeScript, Node.js, <span><a href="http://Temporal.io" target="_blank">Temporal.io</a></span>, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.</li> <li>Architect storage solutions for structured and unstructured financial data, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.</li> <li>Identify and drive performance optimizations across existing pipelines — profiling bottlenecks, improving throughput, and reducing latency at scale.</li> <li>Deploy, monitor, and optimize services on AWS, applying best practices for observability, cost efficiency, and fault tolerance.</li> <li>Drive technical excellence by writing clean, maintainable code supported by thorough unit and integration testing.</li> <li>Participate in and elevate code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning, setting a high bar for engineering quality.</li> <li>Contribute to the evolution of our backend development standards and processes.</li> <li>Partner closely with product, platform, and design teams to translate business requirements into scalable backend solutions.</li> <li>Support the development and maintenance of internal APIs where needed, ensuring reliability and consistency across integrations.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong computer science fundamentals — a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, complexity, and system design that translates directly into well-architected, high-performance pipelines.</li> <li>Extensive experience developing and maintaining data pipelines in TypeScript or a comparable strongly-typed backend language, with the ability to hit the ground running in our TypeScript-first codebase.</li> <li>Proven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data-intensive systems, with a systematic approach to profiling and optimization.</li> <li>Expertise with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases, including data modeling and query optimization.</li> <li>Strong background with cloud storage and monitoring services.</li> <li>Comfort with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure as code.</li> <li>A track record of writing well-tested, reliable code and driving best practices across a team.</li> <li>Solid collaboration and communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice-to-Have Experience</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience in the financial services or wealth management industry, with exposure to financial data structures or reporting.</li> <li>Experience with Vector Search or RAG based systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with <span><a href="http://Temporal.io" target="_blank">Temporal.io</a></span> or similar workflow orchestration platforms.</li> <li>Experience with Python for backend scripting or data processing.</li> <li>Knowledge of search indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch.</li> <li>Exposure to data warehousing, analytics pipelines, or financial data normalization.</li> <li>Familiarity with AWS.</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div id="message-list_bottomSpacer"></div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>At CapIntel, we design compensation with intention. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified.</p> <p data-start="707" data-end="969">Compensation at CapIntel goes beyond base pay.
