Compensation Commission-based; top performers average $73,850–$91,920 in annual earnings (1099 independent contractor, not a salaried position — see compensation details below) Put Your Healthcare Skills to Work in a New Way If you've spent your career teaching, guiding, and looking out for others in a clinical setting, you already have what it takes to help families plan for their financial future. Elevate Imperial Financial gives healthcare professionals a path to apply those same strengths in the life insurance and financial protection space. In this role, you'll connect with clients virtually, walk them through their financial protection needs, break down the life insurance options available to them, and guide qualified applicants through the enrollment process. This is not a clinical, nursing, or patient-care role. It's a remote, commission-based independent contractor opportunity in financial services, designed for healthcare workers looking to add a new income stream or pivot into a different career entirely. We're driven by one goal making sure no family is left without protection. Why This Work Comes Naturally to Healthcare Professionals The instincts you've built on the job carry over directly • Breaking down unfamiliar or complex topics in plain language • Active listening and asking the right follow-up questions • Earning trust quickly with people you've just met • Showing up with empathy, patience, and professionalism • Sticking to structured processes and thorough documentation • Guiding people through decisions that matter You don't need prior experience in financial services to succeed here. Having an active life insurance license already is a plus, but it's not required to apply. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Hold virtual client meetings over phone or video • Uncover each client's protection needs, financial goals, budget, and eligibility through guided questions • Break down life insurance concepts for individuals and families in clear, accessible terms • Walk clients through the coverage options available to them • Help clients weigh strategies for protecting income, preparing for the unexpected, and building long-term financial security • Match clients to appropriate coverage based on their needs, carrier rules, state rules, and product eligibility • Support clients through the life insurance application process • Track down missing paperwork and follow up on underwriting and application status • Keep detailed, accurate notes on client interactions and next steps • Grow your client base through referrals, networking, community outreach, and approved lead sources • Stay current on required licensing, carrier, compliance, product, and professional-development training • Operate within insurance regulations, carrier standards, and company compliance policies Healthcare Experience We're Looking For • Registered Nurse • Nurse Practitioner • Physician Assistant • LVN / LPN • Certified Nursing Assistant • Medical Assistant • Respiratory Therapist • Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician • Physical or Occupational Therapy professional • Healthcare Administrator • Patient Care Coordinator • Medical sales or healthcare customer service professional • Any other patient-facing or healthcare-adjacent role What We're Looking For • 25 or older, legally authorized to work or contract as an independent contractor in the U.S. • Background in healthcare, patient care, education, customer service, or the medical field preferred • Strong communicator who can teach, listen, and build relationships • Comfortable having candid conversations about money and family protection • Self-motivated and able to manage a flexible, independent schedule • Open to ongoing training and skill-building • At ease running client meetings by phone and video • Reliable computer, phone, and internet access • Professional-level English required • Fluency in Tagalog, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or another language is a plus, not a requirement Getting Licensed Before soliciting, recommending, negotiating, or selling any insurance product, agents must hold a valid state life insurance license. If you're not yet licensed, we can point you toward your state's prelicensing coursework, exam, background-check process, and other licensing steps. Costs and requirements differ by state. Finishing licensing steps doesn't guarantee a contract or appointment with Elevate Imperial Financial or any carrier. Contracting and appointments still depend on your licensing status, background check results, state availability, carrier sign-off, and other eligibility factors. Support for Independent Contractors As a contracted agent, you may have access to • Virtual training on products and sales techniques • One-on-one mentorship and coaching • Help with applications and administrative tasks • Access to multiple carriers, pending approval • Virtual team check-ins and development sessions • Prospecting tools and approved lead programs, when available • A network of peers focused on service, growth, and education Lead volume isn't guaranteed — it can shift based on licensing, state, carrier eligibility, market conditions, participation level, and overall business needs. Compensation Details This role is a 1099 independent contractor, commission-only position. There's no hourly pay, base salary, guaranteed income, guaranteed client count, guaranteed sales volume, or minimum compensation floor, and it does not include traditional employee benefits such as employer-paid health coverage, PTO, or a retirement plan. You earn commission on completed insurance sales. What you actually take home depends on your licensing, carrier appointments, client activity, closed sales, product eligibility, policy persistency, individual performance, and other variables. As an independent contractor, you'll manage your own schedule, business development, taxes, licensing costs, and day-to-day business expenses. A New Chapter, Same Impact You've already built the skills to educate, advocate, and care for people — this is a chance to use them differently, helping families think through how to protect their income, the people they love, and their financial future. Come join Elevate Imperial Financial as we work toward a simple goal no family left without protection. Elevate Imperial Financial considers all qualified applicants equally, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected under applicable law. This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
