About AI Training and Data Privacy Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People review, label, and evaluate examples so AI systems can learn to produce more reliable and responsible results.

In this project, your privacy judgment helps assess whether sensitive information has been correctly redacted or anonymized. Careful document review and clear feedback support consistent data quality and safer AI workflows.

  • Contribute to the development of modern AI systems
  • Use privacy and document-review expertise in a technology-focused workflow
  • Work remotely with flexible part-time scheduling

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a PII Document Review Analyst to review transformed datasets and documents within an AI training workflow focused on protecting sensitive information. You will evaluate whether personally identifiable information has been properly redacted or anonymized, confirm that privacy standards are applied consistently, and identify details that were missed or mishandled.

This opportunity is listed at an entry level, while requiring relevant experience reviewing legal or other sensitive documents. The work is suited to an individual professional who can handle sensitive data with discretion, accuracy, and care.

  • Role focus: PII privacy and document review
  • Data type: Documents
  • Review type: Evaluation and rating
  • Engagement: Contractor and part time

What You'll Do

You will conduct qualitative reviews using the provided tools and templates. Your evaluations will help determine whether transformed content meets applicable privacy expectations and whether issues require follow-up or correction.

  • Conduct spot-checks of transformed datasets to validate accurate PII redaction or anonymization
  • Perform detailed reviews of documents for consistent adherence to data privacy standards
  • Identify sensitive information that was missed or improperly handled
  • Document discrepancies and observations using provided tools and templates
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback that supports consistent data quality and privacy handling

Requirements

You should understand personally identifiable information and data privacy regulations, and be able to apply that knowledge consistently during document review. Relevant experience may come from contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, compliance, litigation support, managed legal services, privacy analysis, or information governance.

  • Understanding of personally identifiable information and data privacy regulations
  • Experience conducting legal, eDiscovery, compliance, or sensitive-document reviews
  • Sound judgment when identifying missed or improperly handled PII redactions and anonymization
  • Ability to assess privacy standards consistently
  • Ability to explain privacy discrepancies clearly and constructively
  • Strong analytical judgment, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Discretion when working with sensitive information
