Salary Range$22.00 - $22.65 Hourly

Position Type - Part Time

Job Shift - Overnight - 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  • Sort linens for washing.
  • Check for stains and treat appropriately.
  • Wash, dry, fold linen.
  • Run linen and deliver as requested.
  • Store linen in appropriate location.
  • Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Report any missing/found articles or damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Assist with room attendant duties as needed.
  • Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
  • Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Supervisory Responsibility:

None

Independent Judgment Used:

Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within the Company policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Laundry room. Access to entire exterior and interior of property. Working with approved detergent, bleach and other laundering cleaning agents.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience:

One (1) year experience preferred. Knowledge of proper way to launder linens.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:

Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable. Dependable.

Physical Requirements:

Standing for long periods of time. Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 20 lbs. Exposure to cleaning agents.
