Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 7am-4:30pm

Looking for Packer jobs in Lafayette where accuracy and speed keep orders moving? This opportunity lets you pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment while helping customers receive the right items on time and in excellent condition.

Job Duties

  • Employees will be assembling cardboard case boxes that will pack canisters of seasonings.
  • Put boxes together and tape the bottom of the box with a handheld tape dispenser
  • Put seasonings in the boxes and get it ready for shipment.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • Ability to accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Experience reading pick tickets, packing lists, shipping labels, or electronic order systems.
  • Ability to safely use RF scanners, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy and quality.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced warehouse environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience is preferred.
  • Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, shipping procedures, or order fulfillment best practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, productivity, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Packer.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely handle products while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in warehouse and fulfillment environments while following established safety procedures.
  • Hair net and gloves must be worn.

What You Will Do

As a Packer you will pick customer orders, verify inventory, pack products securely, prepare shipments, apply shipping labels, and stage completed orders for delivery. You will use scanners, warehouse systems, and packing materials while maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting productivity goals, and supporting safe, efficient warehouse operations.

The Packer is responsible for preparing customer orders through accurate product selection, secure packaging, and organized shipment preparation. This role requires dependable work habits, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain productivity in fast-paced warehouse environments.
