GTC’s combined global reach and leverage translate into value, recognition and preferential treatment for its world traveler clients.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p>The Luxury Air Specialist is responsible for managing and fulfilling air travel requests on behalf of the GTC Independent Advisors.  Utilizing the Sabre GDS system, this position delivers exceptional, personalized air solutions.</p> <p>As an extension our valued Independent Advisors, this role requires a high degree of professionalism, creativity, and service excellence. The Air Specialist will curate seamless air itineraries for discerning clients, ensuring every booking reflects commitment to detail, care, and bespoke service. This includes proactive communication, expert handling of complex itineraries, and a deep understanding of airline products, fare structures, and operational procedures.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Fulfill air booking requests for Independent Advisors and their clients using the Sabre GDS system.</li> <li>Provide personalized air travel recommendations that align with client preferences, schedules, and budgets.</li> <li>Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in crafting itineraries, including complex routings, fare optimization, and ticketing strategies.</li> <li>Deliver a high-touch luxury service experience through proactive communication, attentiveness, and professionalism.</li> <li>Manage air bookings from reservation through post-travel follow-up, including handling exchanges, reissues, and schedule changes.</li> <li>Assist with changes and exchanges made by the Independent Advisor.</li> <li>Monitor failed ticketing queue for booking made by the Advisor on the online booking tool.</li> <li>Assist with Sabre reservations made on the online booking tool.</li> <li>Liaise with airlines to resolve operational issues, secure waivers, and ensure timely solutions for any disruptions.</li> <li>Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, bookings, and correspondence in accordance with company and Customer service standards.</li> <li>Cross-sell and upsell relevant air products and services that enhance the client’s travel experience.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with the advisor to ensure a seamless and unified client experience.</li> <li>Stay informed of airline policies, luxury cabin products, loyalty programs, and industry trends relevant to high-end leisure travelers.</li> <li>Uphold professionalism in every client interaction, ensuring discretion, accuracy, and care. </li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience in air travel reservations or ticketing, preferably within a luxury leisure environment.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Sabre GDS, including ticketing, exchanges, fare construction, and queue management.</li> <li>Strong understanding of airline fare rules, international routing, and premium cabin products.</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented demeanor.</li> <li>Proven ability to anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, white-glove customer service.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining composure and precision under pressure.</li> <li>High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of booking and documentation.</li> <li>Creative problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused approach when addressing travel challenges or schedule changes.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with both clients and internal partners.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with CRM or workflow management tools.</li> <li>Work schedule flexibility, standard Air Desk coverage until 8:30 PM ET.  Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>PAY AND BENEFITS</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Our benefit offerings include choice of two medical plans and two dental plans, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), company-paid life insurance and AD&D, optional additional life insurance and AD&D, disability insurance, paid parental leave, paid time off, 401k Plan with company match, discounted employee travel options, access to LinkedIn Learning webinars and courses.
