As a Digital Twin Technical Consultant, you will solve real-world engineering challenges using Emulate3D and related digital engineering tools. This is a mostly customer-facing sales role with a goal of driving adoption and revenue, both from software and services sales. As part of Rockwell Automation's broader Secure Digital Operations sales team, you will help accelerate the success of digital transformation initiatives.</p><p></p><p>We are looking for a well-rounded engineer who has a depth of experience in industrial simulation, controls engineering, robotics, and digital design tools. Your primary responsibility is to provide technical consultation to clients: transforming ambiguous solution objectives (the "what") to specific design architectures, proofs of concept, and functional prototypes (the "how"). You will be a guiding figure for clients with your subject matter expertise, continuing to assist them as their adoption scales with value-added success. This may include mentorship, training, and small project delivery as availability permits. While your focus will be Emulate3D software, you should also be comfortable working with connected software tools for robot programming, PLC programming, and <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">mechanical/electrical</span> CAD.</p><p></p><p>This is a fully remote role requiring the Digital Twin Technical Consultant to reside and work in the United States. You'll join a dynamic, collaborative, and efficient global team that is passionate about digital engineering. As part of Rockwell Automation, we serve clients worldwide across diverse industries and cultures.</p><p></p><h3>Your Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Provide technical support during strategic pre-sales engagements, including demos and proof-of-concept modeling.</li><li>Be an expert in digital engineering, representing Emulate3D in customer engagements and internal strategy discussions.</li><li>Lead and contribute to client meetings, pre-sales workshops, and industry events. Manage virtual versus in-person participation as needed.</li><li>Deliver consulting microservices to global clients using Emulate3D and related digital engineering tools, including: project delivery, personalized training services, and custom Emulate3D catalog development.</li><li>Communicate with the product team to influence roadmap decisions through customer feedback and technical insights.</li><li>Create technical documentation, including modeling standards, reference architectures, and best practices.</li><li>Support integrations with complementary tools such as robot programming environments, PLC software, and CAD platforms.</li></ul><p></p><h3>The Essentials - You Will Have:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.</li><li>Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.</li></ul><p></p><h3>The Preferred - You Might Also Have:</h3><ul><li>Typically requires 5 or more years of related experience.</li><li>Solid experience using Emulate3D or related digital twin / digital engineering tools, especially in the context of emulation, controls testing, and virtual commissioning.</li><li>Solid experience with Rockwell Automation products, especially Studio 5000 Logix Designer, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and FactoryTalk Logix Echo. Understanding of how a PLC functions, including interpreting and writing PLC logic.</li><li>Basic experience with robot simulation software, including one/more of: FANUC ROBOGUIDE, ABB RobotStudio, Yaskawa Motosim, or Siemens Technomatix Process Simulate. Understanding concepts related to robot programming.</li><li>Basic experience with mechanical CAD software, including one/more of: SOLIDWORKS, AutoDesk Inventor, and PTC Creo. Understanding 3D CAD concepts such as joints, assemblies, distinction between parametric geometry and mesh-based representations.</li><li>Basic experience or familiarity with electrical CAD software, such as EPLAN. Ability to interpret <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">electrical/networking</span> schematics into electrical model.</li><li>Basic experience with scripting and programming, especially in object-oriented languages such as C#.
