Position title<br><br>Armed Security Officer - Dulles, Va<br><br><strong>Description<br><br></strong>Blue Raven Inc. is seeking Armed Security Officers for operations in Northern Virginia.<br><br>As an Armed Security Officer for Blue Raven Inc., you will play a crucial role in enforcing security measures and maintaining a safe environment for our clients. Your duties will include actively preventing and responding to criminal activity, ensuring the safety of residents and property, and providing detailed reports of your observations and enforcement actions.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Patrol Duties:</strong> Perform vehicle and foot patrols across clients’ property streets, parking lots, common areas, and other specified areas to detect, deter, and respond to any damage, criminal activity, and other unauthorized behavior.<br><br><strong>Security Enforcement:</strong> Actively engage in enforcing security protocols by intervening in situations where there is criminal activity or other inappropriate behavior. Take necessary actions to prevent harm and ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.<br><br><strong>Surveillance:</strong> Vigilantly monitor for suspicious activities such as unauthorized vehicles, vehicle break-ins, trespassers, loiterers, trash and lighting issues, or any other unusual activities that could compromise the security of the property.<br><br><strong>Access Control:</strong> Check all doors within assigned buildings to ensure they are locked, and alarms are set as necessary, ensuring all areas are secure. Enforce access control measures to prevent unauthorized entry.<br><br><strong>Security Assessments:</strong> Conduct security assessments and notify clients through detailed reports about lighting issues, non-operable lights and security measures, and any other potential security breaches such as damaged fences, lack of fencing, or overgrown areas that could conceal intruders.<br><br><strong>Incident Response:</strong> Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies and incidents, utilizing enforcement capacity to manage the situation and ensure safety. This includes detaining suspects and coordinating with law enforcement.<br><br><strong>Compliance:</strong> Perform additional duties as specified by the site Post Orders to ensure comprehensive security coverage. Enforce compliance with security policies and procedures.<br><br><strong>Professionalism:</strong> Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring the needs of residents and clients are met with respect and courtesy.<br><br><strong>Alertness:</strong> Must always stay alert and be vigilant in observing surroundings and potential threats.<br><br><strong>Self-Motivation:</strong> Must be self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and proactive behavior in all tasks.<br><br><strong>Customer Service:</strong> Provide high-quality customer service, addressing the concerns and needs of clients and residents effectively and efficiently.<br><br><strong>Report to Management:</strong> Utilize and maintain security software efficiently, submitting real-time reports to ensure timely and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and enforcement actions.<br><br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must have a Virginia Armed Security Officer Registration.</li><li>Must have or be willing to obtain Armed Personal Protection Specialist Registration.</li><li>Must have at least 1yr Armed Security Experience or equivalent.</li><li>Must be technology literate.</li><li>Must be Fluent in English (Level 3).</li><li>Must have a clean driving record.</li><li>Must be a team player and mission oriented (we have no room for ego).</li><li>Must have strong enforcement skills with the ability to take decisive action.</li><li>Must have the ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must be able to patrol on foot and by vehicle for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>Must be physically fit and able to perform the duties required of the role.<br><br></li></ul>Job Benefits<br><br>We provide bodycams, uniforms, and body armor financial assistance for all our employees.<br><br><strong>About Us<br><br></strong>Blue Raven Inc. was founded in 2015 by seasoned security experts, with the aim to set a new benchmark in private security.
