Account Executive – Grocery

Location | Remote but must reside in San Antonio, TX.

*Must have headquarter-level retail sales experience, ideally with HEB, in the grocery channel

We are seeking a motivated Account Executive to manage and grow key client relationships. This role represents multiple clients across categories, aligns with retailer initiatives, and drives business growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with headquarters selling experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Recipe for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales or account management role with a focus on headquarter-level retail sales, ideally with HEB, in the grocery channel.
  • Strong knowledge HEB’s business processes, systems, and organizational structure.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with syndicated data tools (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients or product lines simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive-level stakeholders
  • Developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive business decisions.
  • Must reside in San Antonio, TX. Ability to travel for meetings and trade shows.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance at company policy limits and an acceptable motor vehicle record driving record to meet conditions of the company’s hired/non-owned auto policy.

Here is a taste of what you will be doing:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between BBI clients and retailers HQ
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned clients to drive growth at HEB, United Supermarkets, and Affiliated Grocers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with grocery category managers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage item presentations, business reviews, and promotional planning
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients based on category and market trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including analytics, insights, and retail execution
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of client performance, promotional activity, and execution updates
