Welcome to the Agentic Commerce Era At Commerce, our mission is to empower businesses to innovate, grow, and thrive with our open, AI-driven commerce ecosystem. As the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift, we connect the tools and systems that power growth, enabling businesses to unlock the full potential of their data, deliver seamless and personalized experiences across every channel, and adapt swiftly to an ever-changing market. We believe in harnessing AI responsibly to unlock new possibilities, and we’re looking for individuals who use it intentionally to solve problems, accelerate outcomes, and expand what’s possible in their role. Our purpose is to help businesses confidently solve complex commerce challenges so they can build smarter, adapt faster, and grow on their own terms. If you want to be part of a team of bold builders, sharp thinkers, and technical trailblazers who shape the future of commerce, this is the place for you. Commerce.com is looking for a Director of Account-Based Marketing to drive enterprise pipeline and revenue across our BigCommerce and Feedonomics brands. This is an individual-contributor role for a senior ABM practitioner — someone who has personally built and run account-based programs, not just overseen them. You'll own a pipeline and revenue target for the enterprise segment, and you'll hit it through sharp account selection, tailored multi-channel engagement, and relentless cross-functional coordination. This role doesn't manage people. It's built for someone who'd rather be in the work — building account tiers, briefing creative, orchestrating plays, and personally opening doors at target accounts — than managing a team around it. If you're a builder who thrives on ownership, speed, and getting a "no" to become a "yes" at a strategic account, this is your seat. What You'll Do: Account-Based Strategy & Execution Build and own the enterprise ABM strategy across both BigCommerce and Feedonomics, from account selection through pipeline handoff Develop account tiering models (Tier 1/2/3) and personalized engagement plays for named target accounts Design and execute multi-channel campaigns — digital, direct mail, events, programmatic, and social — tailored to specific accounts and buying committees, not generic segments Personally drive new-logo account penetration, using research, personalization, and persistence to open doors at accounts that matter most Partner with our global teams for cross functional delivery where it plays Pipeline & Revenue Ownership Own a pipeline and revenue target for the enterprise segment across both brands Build and maintain pipeline attribution reporting (influenced, sourced, and accelerated) tied directly to segment revenue goals Report regularly on program performance, account engagement, and pipeline velocity — and adjust strategy quickly based on what the data shows Cross-Functional Orchestration Partner closely with Sales to align on target account lists, buying committee mapping, and account-level engagement strategy Work with Product Marketing to ensure ABM plays are backed by persona- and industry-specific messaging, content, and battle cards Collaborate with the other segment marketing pods to share learnings, avoid duplicated effort, and align on enterprise-wide account strategy Brief and partner with Creative and Shared Services to produce high-quality, account-personalized assets quickly — without becoming a bottleneck for either team Define and manage the handoff model between marketing-driven account engagement and sales-executed outreach Storytelling & Personalization at Scale Translate account research and buying signals into compelling, personalized narratives that resonate with enterprise decision-makers Build a consistent narrative across BigCommerce and Feedonomics that speaks to enterprise buyers' actual business challenges, not generic product features Use intent data and account insights to know when and how to tell the right story to the right stakeholder at the right time Who You Are: 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with significant time spent building and personally running account-based marketing programs (not just supporting or overseeing one) Proven experience owning a pipeline or revenue number and being accountable for it Demonstrated ability to build account tiering models, engagement plays, and pipeline attribution frameworks from the ground up Hands-on experience with ABM and sales intelligence tooling — platforms like 6sense, Demandbase, ZoomInfo, Clay, LinkedIn Matched Audiences, and intent-signal tools (G2, Bombora); CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred) A track record of personally opening new enterprise accounts — you know how to research, personalize, and persist until a target account engages A natural storyteller — you can turn account insight into a narrative that moves a buying committee, not just a single stakeholder Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, especially briefing and partnering with creative and shared-services teams to move fast without sacrificing quality Nimble and adaptable — comfortable adjusting strategy in real time based on account signals, pipeline data, or sales feedback Experience marketing to enterprise ecommerce or B2B SaaS buyers strongly preferred; familiarity with complex, multi-stakeholder buying committees Strong analytical instincts — equally comfortable building a pipeline attribution model and writing account-specific copy What Success Looks Like: The enterprise segment consistently hits or exceeds its pipeline and revenue targets across BigCommerce and Feedonomics A growing set of engaged, well-tiered target accounts moving through the funnel — with clear attribution showing ABM's influence on pipeline New enterprise logos opened through account-based effort, not just inbound demand Sales sees you as an indispensable partner who understands their accounts as well as they do Creative and Shared Services experience you as a sharp, efficient partner who briefs well and respects their time A consistent, compelling enterprise narrative across both brands that resonates with sophisticated, multi-stakeholder buying committeesWork alongside the customer retention and advocacy team to ensure we’re thinking about the entire customer journey Plan to be in Austin at least once a month along with customer event travel throughout the year #LI-KE1 #LI-REMOTE Pay Transparency Range: ($136,322.00 - $225,000.00) Work Where You Thrive Commerce is a remote-first company. For team members in Austin, Atlanta, and London, we offer optional collaborative workspaces for team gatherings, workshops, and in-person connection. Use them whenever they’re helpful, balancing focused individual work with meaningful in-person collaboration. Compensation Transparency The national base salary range for this role is posted above in this job post. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications and geographic location. We also consider internal equity to help ensure fair and consistent pay practices across our teams. 2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
